Middle-Earth: Shadow of War will feature an immense open world that is rich with content and designed to house large-scale siege battles around monstrous strongholds. It is bigger in every aspect when compared to the preceding installment. The evolution also takes into consideration improvements in the department of visual fidelity.
In short, this is one sequel that needs to be experienced at its maximum graphical settings. The feat is easier said than done. Middle-Earth: Shadow of War will require a significant amount of horsepower and unless your desktop systems are already fitted with the latest hardware on the market, be ready to compromise by dialing back on the settings.
However, for those already considering an upgrade, know that Nvidia has launched a new “Forge Your Army” bundle that gives a free copy of the game with every GeForce GTX 1080 and 1080 Ti.
“These incredible graphics cards, systems, and notebooks give you a whole new level of performance for 4K, HDR, and immersive experiences like NVIDIA Ansel,” Nvidia states on the official website. “It’s all powered by NVIDIA Pascal—the most advanced gaming GPU architecture ever created.”
It is a pretty sweat deal, at least for anyone building a new system or upgrading an existing one. That being said, the hiked prices and unavailability of graphic cards due to crypto-miners may affect the bundle. In other words, you will probably have to take out extra for either the GTX 1080 or 1080 Ti. These prices are not going to stabilize anytime soon.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is scheduled to launch on October 10 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The graphical bundle from Nvidia will remain valid until October 16 or when supplies run out.
