MSI has teased another addition to its custom designed Nvidia GPU lineup, this time it is GTX 1080 Ti Sea Hawk Ek X edition. It is the first custom GTX 1080 Ti with a full cover water block; it integrates into your existing cooling system loop.
At the heart of it, it contains a Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti GPU with custom designed additions by MS, as such EK water block. The Water block features beautiful MSI dragon and logo on it. You can see the MSI dragon and the logo in image below.
MSI’s GTX 1080 Ti Sea Hawk EK X will feature following specifications:
- Base Clock: 1569
- boost Clock: 1683MHz
- 11GB of GDDR5Xclocked upto 11120MHz
- Custom PCB
- 8+2-phase power design,
- 8+8-pin PCIe power connectors
The GTX 1080 Ti Sea Hawk EK X is said to run in three different modes:
- OC mode: 1,708MHz base, 1874MHz boost, 10,108MHz memory
- Gaming mode: 1,683MHz base, 1,822MHz boost, 10,010MHz memory
- Silent mode: 1,607MHz base, 1,733MHz boost, 10,010MHz memory
MSI did not reveal any launch date of the GPU, however it is a mere speculation that the GPU will cost around $800 or above, since other GTX 1080 Ti models are around $750 but this one comes with liquid cooling.
In a parallel news, Manli joined the custom designed lineup race of GPUs by unveiling its GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Gallardo edition. At the very core of the card sits a GTX 1080 Ti, but Gallardo edition comes with a 4 percent increase in clock speed as compared to standard version. The base clock is improved from standard 1480 MHz to custom 1531 MHz, similarly boost clock from 1645 MHz to 1582 MHz It features a triple 9cm fan to enhance the cooling performance and efficiency.
