Titanfall 2 Features No Season Pass, All Maps and Modes Are Free

Respawn Entertainment is breaking away from the tradition of premium expansion packs by announcing no season pass for Titanfall 2. However, that doesn’t mean the game will not feature any post-release content. The developer has a lot in store for its players, and all of that will be released through free updates. Case in point, you don’t have to pay a dime for the new multiplayer maps, game modes, and other related content. You just need to buy Titanfall 2 alone.

Why is Respawn Entertainment taking such a leap to gain its users’ trust and respect? It simply doesn’t want to split up the community between those who pay new content and those who get left behind with vanilla.

“This means once you’ve purchased Titanfall 2, your investment includes a full single player campaign, the full multiplayer maps and modes, and long-term support with no hidden costs, stated the developer on the official website. “You can pre-order the game to play three days early, but it will never cost you extra.”

The stream of free post-release content begins with the offering of Angel City, a remastered version of the original Titanfall multiplayer map.

Titanfall 2 reviews have been surfacing since yesterday and they all agree on the fact that the developer has outdone itself. The game is a remarkable showcase in the FPS category, and works on every little feedback gained from the original game.

Titanfall 2 is scheduled to officially release on October 28 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. In contrast to the first game, Titanfall 2 is going multi-platform and also features a proper single-player campaign.

Those interested in purchasing PlayStation 4 Pro next month should know that Titanfall 2 features support for Sony’s console upgrade. However, the developer warns that the experience will not be true/native 4K. Citing an immense requirement of processing power, Respawn advising 4K enthusiasts to look at the PC version instead. Titanfall 2 on PC is all set to give a glorious native 4K experience.
