New Content Teased for Halo 5: Guardians

343 Industries isn’t done with Halo 5: Guardians. In fact, there’s a strong likelihood of the developer working on new content for the latest installment in the iconic franchise.

In its latest weekly report, 343 Industries teased that “there’s more brewing on the Halo 5 front.” Do note that the game received the Anvil’s Legacy expansion pack earlier this month. Many assumed it to be the final add-on content for Halo 5: Guardians on Xbox One. However, it seems that the developer is far from finished with this game.

“We’re not done just yet,” the developer said. “Various teams here at the studio are hard at work finishing up a few different flavors of goodness, and we’ll be talking about all of that and more in the near future. I am particularly excited about that part.”

Anvil’s Legacy is the ninth free update for Halo 5: Guardians. It introduced two new multiplayer maps in the form of Temple (Warzone Assault) and Mercy (Arena); three new weapons in the form of Tactical Magnum, Wicked Grasp and Berserker’s Claw. Additionally, players were also granted a file browser.

Halo 5’s other expansions include The Battle of Shadow and Light (November), Cartographer’s Gift (December), Infinity’s Armor (January), Hammer Storm (February), Ghosts of Meridian (April), Memories of Reach (May), Hog Wild (May), and Warzone Firefight (June).

It goes without saying that the player-base of Halo 5 is still very strong. We’re approaching the one-year anniversary of its launch and its player-base shows no signs of dwindling. The community surely appreciates the efforts of the developer in continuously supporting the game.

So we ask the community, what are you most interested in seeing in the next update? Would you be interested in new multiplayer maps or devastating weapons?
