Xbox One Is Now Available for $249.99

Microsoft is currently running a summer sale which has toned down all Xbox One 500GB console editions to the $249.99 price point.

Do note that this is for a limited time only and the new official price tag will stay valid until “supplies last.” Those who have yet to jump on the new Xbox platform, or were pondering over a new bundle, should definitely take advantage of the new offer.

The deal applies to not only the standalone 500GB editions but also the special game bundles. This list includes the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition bundle, Quantum Break Special Edition bundle (includes a white Xbox One model), and the “Name Your Game Bundle” where purchasers can redeem one digital game for free out of Forza Motorsport 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, and Rare Replay.

Xbox One has received multiple price cuts this year. The last major discount was announced in March where the console was officially brought down to the $300 point during Microsoft’s Spring Sale. The new announcement is a massive $100 price cut, which perhaps relates to the company trying its best to get as many units as possible before the launch of Project Scorpio.

Microsoft has officially confirmed the existence of Project Scorpio while closing out its E3 2016 press conference. According to the announcement, Project Scorpio is going to release in holiday 2017 with up to 6 teraflops of computing power. Microsoft further claimed that the new console model will boast the most powerful GPU ever installed in a console to date, with support for play in true 4K resolution. Furthermore, the console will deliver 8 CPU cores and 320+ GB/s memory bandwidth.

On the other hand, the company’s rival, Sony, is rumored to launch PlayStation Neo later this year.
