Thanks to the power of the Frostbite game engine, FIFA 17 this year is going to feature a single-player career mode called The Journey.
Announced during Electronic Arts’ EA Play event, FIFA 17: The Journey is going to star a promising rookie named Alex Hunter and follow a journey into his career. Filling his shoes, players will have the opportunity to interact and play for some of the best football managers out there, in any Premier League club, and alongside some of the best players around.
According to EA Sports, the storyline of the mode will bank on the decisions taken by the player and importantly, performance shown by Hunter in games. Showcasing underwhelming skills on the field may even have potential contracts changed or scrapped, while exceptional display of talent will only earn him rewards.
The decision to bring over FIFA 17 to Frostbite has allowed the developer to enhance the game’s graphical fidelity. Additionally, the new installment has improved the gameplay in numerous ways, promising fluid animations, more intelligent AI, better finishing options and more.
FIFA 17 is slated for a release on September 27 in North America and September 29 worldwide for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
