Rumors suggesting a launch of Apple’s MacBook Pro this June have been in circulation for some time, and recently a designer has revealed some concept images for the MacBook that look absolutely marvellous.
The designer, Martin Hajek has previously shown a number of concept designs for Apple products. This time, he has come up with a concept design for Apple’s MacBook Pro 2016 which features an OLED display panel at the top of the keyboard.
The touch display panel can be used for several different applications. It can be a substitute for the status bar, show a Siri visualization, media control for songs, progress bar, and much more. If you prefer the old F keys on top of your horizontal number pad, then it can do that too. Of course, this is still a concept design but if Apple, or its rivals could practically introduce a simple and useful concept such as this in their designs, it could definitely boost their sales.
Hajek’s images show that the next MacBook could potentially be a game changer for Apple. The keyboards in modern laptops have very less key travel times, so switching from keys to an OLED display won’t be a big problem for many laptops. There is a need for new features in modern notebooks as of late anyway.
With Apple not revealing the MacBook this March, it is likely that we may be seeing the new 13 inch MacBook at the WWDC 2016. As for the 15 inch redesigned MacBook, maybe it will be revealed with the iPhone 7 later this year in September. Apart from the OLED display, Apple’s next generation MacBooks may include thin speakers at the sides of the device, metal injection mold made hinges and USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3 support.
The full selection of the images of the concept can be found at Hajek’s website.
