Battlefield 1 Gameplay Trailer Reveals Zeppelins, Dynamic Weather, and Destruction

Battlefield 1 received an epic gameplay trailer today to close out Electronic Arts’ EA Play event.

Between intense action and lovely visuals, the developer confirmed that the game will feature a dynamic weather system which is designed to instantly change the theme of an entire map. Depending on the time of day, players can be caught surprised with fog, rain, sandstorms, and such. The change in weather is also going to have heavy impact on the map by forcing players to change their gameplay-style.

We also got the first proper look at the Zeppelin, a massive airship that covers most of the sky and is armed to the teeth with powerful weaponry. These behemoth machines can be piloted by players, which makes us imagine a situation where a player accidentally crashes one during an important part of a match.

“With Battlefield 1 we’re looking to deliver the most dynamic shooter ever. We want to make sure that no battle is ever the same for the players, and with the introduction of Operations, we’re giving the fans variety for game play and creativity,” said Aleksander Grøndal, Senior Producer at DICE. “Plus, with the new Behemoths, only in Battlefield 1 can you bring an Air Ship to a dogfight.”

Battlefield 1 is confirmed to host a multiplayer beta this summer. Those interested should hurry and register themselves here to ensure a spot for early access.

Battlefield 1 is scheduled to release worldwide on October 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. EA Access and Origin Access members will be entitled to play the game earlier than everyone else. Additionally, there’s a sweet 10 percent discount as well for those who purchase the game Xbox One or PC through EA’s Access program.
